Tekken the 2010 film

The trailer looks cheap. The costumes looks, neh. But then again never judge based on these. Well, the movie somehow delivers........

The plots are nicely laid out and the actors portrayed their own characters well. Almost........

The only downside is......... The choreography.... Everyone looks as if have the same fighting style. Except Eddy Gordo with a few flips and turns but the way he fights still looks the same as the others......

Overall verdict 5/10.

Still room for improvement for Tekken 2....... (hopefully.... LOL)

Man Vs Food

I never heard of the show before this until Travel and Living Channel (now known as TLC) were showing reruns of the show.

I was hooked ! It pretty addictive show. The shows follows the host Adam Richman around USA to sample the tastiest (not to mention the biggest) and the most badass food. At the end of the episode Adam will take on a food challenge to see who is the toughest (man or food, well duh!) Usually the challenge is one big gigantum portion (think of steak that looks like you cushion, sandwich as big as your head). Sometimes the challenge involves extremes like chicken wings with some hot sauce that combines some of the world's hottest chillies.

The down side of the show is most of the food are high calories !!! Someday the host will freaking collapse with a heart attack. And...... when he loses the food challenge where the remaining food goes??? Hmmm.....

Body Combat 45

It's been a long time since i reviewed the latest BC releases. Well, for the coming release 45 i will try to sum up each track in less than 10 words. He he. Here it goes...

Theme is Rocky meets Mission Impossible... Well, how the hell we gonna think of any outfit for this. LOL.

Track 1 - Groovy and uplifting. Wait, shoot on this track??

Track 2- Kinda typical track 2 combos.

Track 3- Very explosive. Nice combination.

Track 4- Kicks kicks and more kicks. Love the song !

Track 5- Rolling down the river! Eh, got shoot as well?

Track 6- Butt are yelling at me to stop.....

Track 7- Nice !!! Awesome choreography and music.

Track 8-Hardcore punch out !! Love the music as well

Track 9 - Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. Here comes the alligator push ups.

Track 10-Short and simple. Loved the song too.

One thing i notice in the DVD, the Japanese presenter Taku actually presented before. It was release 16 !!! 29 release ago, that's a good 7 years. Still have such passion and energy in him.... Gambateh !!!

Foot Reflexology does it

I was having a bout stress plus a bit of lower back ache. I decided to go for a foot reflexology as it helps to relax the body plus a bit health benefits thrown in.

There's this shop in Gurney Plaza that i know, been hearing that the masseurs there are quite skilled. Some of them are imported from China. Well, i don't freaking care where they are from, i just want a good massage.

I went there, asked for an hour of foot reflex. The lady at the counter introduced to me some "combos" they have. Something like like when you go McD you order your burger and the fella at the counter asked, "Will you like fries with that?" I was like, "No, just the burger" er, i mean "Just one hour foot will do".

I was introduced to this big guy with some muscular arms.... Ooo kay......... I washed my feet and relaxed myself on the chair. The masseur got every pressure point right. I can really feel my body started to relax in 20 minutes or so. Even though he's kinda hard (well almost very as the lady masseur asked him whether is he going too hard on me) it's still bearable. Every pressure point he massage somehow helps me relax.......

He pin pointed i usually sleep late and i have some back ache. Yeah, well i kinda woke up at the wrong side of the bed few days ago and injured my back. After the session...... eh? Back ache no more....... I'm serious !!! Wow, it really works. Ha ha ha...........

I left home for work as usual. As i had been drving on that road for some time now, i sort of able to estimate on what time where i should be. As in by 8.45 i should pass Intel and on my way turning into my office.

It was 8.30 and i am still at Greenlane. I need to speed up a bit. I stepped on the gas and lo behold, some more jam.

8.45. Just entered coastal highway. Jam packed like hell. Not good not good. I gonna be late !!!

8.55. Not even close to Queensbay Mall. I confirm gonna be late. So i SMSed by cubicle mate, my friend and my boss. I got some late replies.........

9.20. Just reached Intel and the freaking traffic is not moving at all !!!! I called my boss and somehow i heard music at the background..... Guessed that he might be late as well. Wa ha ha ha ha..... He told me to drive safe. Many places is flooded.

After some struggle here and there, i reached office 9.55. I rushed to my cubicle, logged in at 9.58.

I found out 3/4 of my team are late !!!! Only 3 made it on time........ and the other team none made it on time...... and they replied my SMS late because they are still driving as well.....

Mother nature is freaking awesome....

I was going to 7-Eleven to get a drink for dinner. Out of no where I saw an old Indian aunty clad in saree peed standing up by the roadside !!!!

I was wondering why on earth she standing there and i heard loud dripping noise. Found out she hiked he saree up a bit and literally peed..... I mean, there are shops around why not use their toilet????

Enjoy what you do

I did my refilming for my video certification for my Body Combat module. As i look back the first time i shoot and now i can see the reason why i failed the first time.

The reason is : I forgot to enjoy myself while teaching......

For the first try i watched the DVD almost everyday, practice what i wanna say and practice in front of the mirror. After all that i went on stage, i taught like a robot, techniques go haywire cause i was too careful and i CRC-ed the floor as i was too scripted. I did not really enjoy teaching on stage. I look like a noob on stage.

For the second time, i briefly went throught the choreo, scripted the main ideas/points of each track, i practice techniques and coaching in front of the mirror. I tell myself to enjoy and teach like i always do. I did noticed the vast difference in the 2 video. I look better and did fairly better than the first round despite having mild flu on that day. All because i just enjoyed myself while filming !!!

Then it really strike me. At times, it's i think best to use more of your heart than the brain. Your feelings reflect in your actions.

So, enjoy yourself !! But with some mindfulness, yah !

Malaysian Effiency

There will always be days where a certain area will be "closed for upgrading purposes." It always states there " any inconvience caused is regretted." Well just the other day i notice how really "efficient" are they....

5 person came. 1 person do the work, the other 4 lepaking.
2days to clean up the mess but nothing happens for 1.5 days. Only start to see some scrambling when deadline is near/ some YB is coming to oversee the process.
Utter disregard to people around. Work until the wee hours (3am-4am) and the after effect (one big mess or work done half past six)
Work 30 mins, kopi break. Another 30 mins, tau hua break. Another 30 mins, tea break. Why not straight away break kaw kaw then come back to work???

Malaysia Boleh. LOL. No offence to anyone. It's been a known issue for long.... I just have to bring this up again......

Body Overhaul

Been having some muscle problems for quite some time and I decided to get it fixed once a for all.

Asked my friend who is an experienced masseur in both therapy and reflexology to do it. He found out is my vein giving me the problems and he sorta "rectify" the problem for me..... Painful at first but when the session finished i feel so relaxed and nimble.....

He took 2 sessions to fix the issue. 1st session was like hell.... 2nd session feels much more bearable than the 1st. I told him about it and he said, "Of course la. The 1st session is like a overhaul of your body after so many years....."

Overhaul?? Makes me sound like an old man..... LOL.

Sometimes i feel like i don wanna care anymore. No matter how much time, effort and energy you put into making something successful and good but the freaking person who speaks the loudest, brash and looks good will always get the credit, approval, attention etc etc etc....................

To some is effort does not count, it's all about the way it looks........ Very very very shallow. At times i just wanna ignore them but then again all blood, sweat and tears go to waste because of these shallow people.......

Change protein brand again....... Now i'm taking BSN True Mass. Got to know a guy who is able to get the supplies cheaper than the retail price. I've been reading the reviews that BSN is one the leading brands around. The powder is smoother and it tastes richer than the brands that i tired..... The contents are not bad at all. All the vitals (amino acid, vitamins, protein content) are at an optimal level. Might stick to this brand after all..... MIGHT. Ha ha ha. I'm still rooting towards ON Whey Protein....

The Random Dinner Day

Place: Suffolk House, Penang

Time : 8pm ish, Sunday

Style: Fine dining

My attire: T-shirt, short, slippers... NOT MY FAULT !! Dad told me wear shorts and slippers can d lah.......

Why: My mum said, "Eh, Maggie (my aunt) said there's this new restaurant in Suffolk House. Food is nice. Let's go !!" while all of us are in the car and already on the road driving.....

Verdict : Bloody hell good !!!

The review

The restaurant is in the newly restored Suffolk House that's been recently restored to it's old granduer.... I suddenly feel a sense of pride as i was a MBS student for 5 freaking years, the house is literally coming apart and god knows what forsaken thing lives in there..... Many many efforts are made initially to repair it but somehow it did not materialise... Only after few years they decided to take efforts to restore it...... It's looks very grand, indeed. Where was I? Oh, the restaurant.

The menu is kinda unique. First glance my father's face turned papaya as the price is not cheap...... Ha ha ha. It's all in set. You choose the main dish. They have fish, chicken, beef and others. Very few selections and we were told they change the menu frequently.... One thing intriqued me is the first page of the menu written appetizers which comprises of 6 items or so. I thought it's a ala-carte thing were we can choose but little that i know ALL the thing is part of the SET........ Fuwah ! The thing is the starters all come in small portions to whip your appetite before you wallop the main dish.

The meal

First course : Bread (bread baked with some sesame to a crispy crust) and butter
Second course : One spoonful of chicken tikka (serious. It's one spoon)
Third course : One money bag stuff with chicken meat and something else. Side with balsamic sauce.
Forth course : Salad. Various types of veges with some sourish sauce.
Fifth course : One small cup (yes, CUP) of soup with garlic bread. (small piece)
Sixth course : Tomato and strawberry sorbet topped with sour plum. (I seriously felt my father shivered when he took one big spoonful of it. Too sour. Ka ka ka.)
Seventh course which is the main : I ordered sirlion done medium with potatoes and onion shaving. Tender and juicy !! Nicely done.
Eighth course which is dessert : Three types. Ice cream topped with chocolate chips, banana crepe with caramel sauce and a mini blueberry pie.
Finish off with espresso or tea......
Finale : Burp ! :-P

Timeline

2 hours for the meal... They seriously take it very very leisurely. Giving you time to digest and enjoy the ambience.

In between course the waiting time is not long at all. Very carefully planned course. Maximum waiting time is 5 minutes..... Depending on the number of people i think.

Recomendation

If you have a credit card or something. Bring it !!! The price is pretty expensive but I ain't complaining cause the money worth spending plus my dad paid for it.... Lol.

If you are in a hurry don't go. Seriously... ... Ha ha ha.

Comebacks

New move in Body Combat 43 is called the Shoot..... A takedown move in mixed martial arts to take the fight onto the ground for grappling, submission and chokes......... Move is derived from Jiu Jitsu...... Might be from wrestling as well.....

Therefore so far i'm half correct about Jiu Jitsu added into BC............. xD

We'll see whether i'm right or wrong when release 43 comes this March........

What I Achieved 2009

New job. Not that stable YET but hey, at least it's better than my last job. Really really than my lucky stars, man...... And also found someone who is willing to guide me on investments as well.

A better lifestyle-ish. Ha ha ha. More fiber, less carbo, exercise and vitamins to top it off. I do not have a concrete work out plan. What i have in mind is usually i will do something different than the day before. Is to balance the body... Don wanna have big in this area small in other areas.... Ha ha ha.

Learned a thing or two. Many many years of friendship is not the judge of a good friendship. It's the quality of the friendship that counts. Might know the fella only a year or two but we clicked as we shared the same wavelength and attitude compliments each other..... Sad to say one of my good old friend now is an asshole..... A total son of a b........ The company he's working in and the people he hang out with is not helping at all. Never mind. Have to move on.......

Helped in certain events and managed to help some out people as well. Give them a better idea on what certain thing in life is...... Some people might (or will ;-) say, "Ceh, lidat only ma. I did this did that". That's you this is me. No matter how small the act is goes a long wat..... Not asking anything back from them, just hope they carry the attitude and spirit where ever they go.

Body Combat 42 Review

Should have blogger this earlier but due to lack of time and laziness I dragged it... He he he.

I went to the workshop conducted by Dan and Rach. Their awesome. Rach is sweet and very friendly. Dan on the other hand has this sort of powerful aura that I somehow feel "scared" to talk to him. Say the wrong thing i gonna get my ass kicked.... xD I did manage to chat with him as his locker is beside me !! Lucky me !!!! Talked to him a little bit and got him to sign my DVD kit. Cool...... Another thing is Dan is much more smaller in size compared to how he look like on the DVD... Ooo... Kay..... He he he.... People crowd around Dan and Rach for pics. Some even took pictures while they are teaching...... Aw, come on. Focus on the workshop dammit !

Dan and Rach thought the class with Judy King. Shadowing them is Ben, Renee and Kelvin. All in their Muay Thai shorts and wraps. On the side note, i noticed not a single strand of leg hair is on them..... LOL. Do they shave......?? The workshop went smoothly but they somehow dragged the education session. Rach went through the new moves with us and how to teach it. Dan teach us how to cue and create magic in our class. He mentioned in future releases there will be a new martial art to be introduce into Body Combat.. I asked Dan, "You mentioned there will be a new martial art, right? Er, is it gonna Jujitsu or something?" Dan answered, " I ain't telling, bro. But nice try"

Right..... Ha ha ha. Judging by the direction of the releases I have a feeling it gonna be something to do with grappling.... But then again if we were to do grappling moves or submissions in BC we gonna look silly...... So, I'll wait and see.....

Imagine cueing, "Lie on the floor ! Now, grab the neck with your legs, tighten the abs and choke your opponent out !!" I think it gonna scare a few new comers away.... xD

BC 42 is a great release musically. Workout wise is a bit more complex than 41, focuses a lot on techniques. The intensity of the class sorta dropped a little. Might be Dan and Rach wanna focus on techniques on this release. A lot of the song selections are rock based song song being remixed. Track 1 is based on rock song (Numb/ I Do Not Hook Up), track 2 is techno cover of a song by Kiss, track 4 cover song by Hinder, Track 5 by Good Charlotte and Cooldown track by Shinedown. Phew ! That's almost half the class already.

New moves for the release:

1) Roda (pronounced hoda). Not really a new move. It's an authentic capoiera move where we ginga 360 on the spot. Ginga ,step ,turn then ginga again. Pretty confusing at first but after getting the hang of it, looks kinda cool... Couple with Prodigy's Warrior Dance song, feels very Brazilian.....

2) Kamae block. A new type of block taken form karate. In track 2. Combo heavy track. Karate and taekwondo together in one track. Full combo double karate punch, back fist and roundhouse combo will really work your body and coordination..... Fuh !

3) The sweep. A karate move where we sweep the leg of the opponent to make him/her off balance. Sweep sideways with toes pointing up to work the inner thighs..... Been modified from the original move to suit the class. It's in track 4. Watch out for the sound effects in the track. Swish, dish, dish... He he he..

Other moves like the pylo push and esquiva are in as well. This is the second release the pylo push been used.

Some people choose to run away when confronted with problems. Would prefer to assume nothing happened and just carry on doing their own things. As they run they carry new baggage with them. In the end more problems keep piling up and old issues are unsolvable as new ones are coming in.

The world is round. No matter how far you run you will somehow meet the same problem all over again. When it happens again they get frustrate and say why keep bringing up the same issue.... How can we bring up the same issue when it was NOT SOLVED at the first place...

Now on i just don wanna care la. Good intentions pay a hefty price at times. I just wish to really talk it over, settle the issues and find solutions to it if can. Is it hard? Why wanna run? Not asking to go kill someone, or go piss someone off or jump from a building...... Just use your mouth and brain only. Too hard?

Well, keep on running then. One fine day you will fall and don't blame me for not reminding you. Run go ahead and run......

My house keep having connection problem. Line sucks like hell !!! Sometimes got line most of the time no line. Complain several times. Changed modem, changed settings but problem still happening..... It's been going on for months and months now...... TL d. One fine day dad decided to potong je la..... After potong we were told by the potong guys that they don potong until my area........ WTH. So what's with the viral marketing when the services and coverage still so limited...??? Potong stim betul.......

Now we have a Maxis Broadband. Sadly only one person can use the internet at one time...... Ish.

Namba Too

Some already know when it comes to shoes I don really go for Nike. I do have their Dri-fit shirt which are freaking awesome but i never owned their shoes. Cashier : Mocha Latte, sir?
Me : Er, no. Hot mocha.

Me : What is the difference? (why on earth did i say that????)

The name suggests a new addition to the line up in the next Transformers movie or a nick name for a fancy car but nnnooooo...... I'm talking about the new KFC Hot Rods........At first i'm so unwilling to try it as because of my past bad experience with the freaking shrimp stick....

The thing is i went to KFC the other day, wanting to get the toasted twister for lunch. As i ordered the cashier said, "Sorry, sir. Tortillas are out of stock. So no twister and cheesy meltz." Hmm.... It's only 10.30 or so in the morning and you guys already run out of stock? Weird....

Then there's the usual X-meal, now with Hot Rods. Well, why not i just get the X-meal then.... Went home, open the box and hey ! It's not that small after all... He he he. 3 pieces of meat that looks like one piece. Is it 4 pieces or 3 ?? I can't really tell......I think in order to save time they just put the meat into the stick, batter it plus the stick and straight away whack the thing into the cooker..... That explains why the sticks are somehow crunchy as well...... Mmmmm.......

Not as crunchy as advertised but the meat are really juicy and suculent.... The taste remind me of chicken cordon bleu. A bit springy texture and soft in the middle..... Whoo........ Sauce wise, neh. It's tastes like hot mustard with mayo and some other ringy ma jig thrown in.

Quite a good show. MJ showing off his dancing and singing skills during the rehearsal. Hit song like Beat It, Billie Jean, Earth Song, Thriller and other songs were revamped to look and sound fresh as well. There are short introduction videos to his song before he starts off the performance. Old school songs like Thriller and Smooth Criminal were given a whole new video introduction and dance choreography. Some dance moves were the same but the sequence are different now. Another thing new is the backup band sounded more live with raw drum set and modern distorted guitars compared to his old performances where his live songs sounded almost exactly like the recordings......

Some fellas might say, "That part is from Rihanna's song !" or "I thought that song is from Fall Out Boy?"

Well, screw you....... It's from MJ, they covered and sampled his songs....

Add Kiang

MC-ed for 3 days after down with fever and some viral infection. Actually the fever been on and off for a few days prior to the big boom bang. I go add kiang (kay kiang in hokkien)delaying going to the clinic for a proper checkup.

It was Tuesday when the fever came by and say hello again..... Still working and i did not stock some panadol in office, come to think of it who keeps panadol in their office anyways??? I beared with the fever until finish work. Damn susah. Very uncomfortable and can't really concentrate on my job. Went home took medication then off to bed.

Woke up the next day with rashes on my body..... Dengue? Dengue? Hopefully not !!!! NO high fever, can't be H1N1. I decided to go to see doctor. Took my blood for test in case of dengue. He told me might be viral infection. (he did not specify what virus.......) Gave me some medicine asked to go back wait for the result........ Doc called in the evening and said, "Negative. No dengue".... Phew !!!

How do i get the virus? Hmm..... Might be from the office? Might be someone in my house? Might be the wan than mee seller? Might from the public toilet? I can confidently say.......

Dunno la........

Some might say i have scarlet fever but then again, my rashes ain't that bad. It didn't spread to the whole body......

I was thinking why is my knee is giving me problem for the past week or so....

I found out it was the same injury i got while i was practising for release 41 launching (almost 2 weeks before this)....... I thought it healed completely already but then again...... Sigh.

How did i injure it? I am so stupid enough not to stretch properly beofre i practice and i hurt it while doing the snap kick....... Pulled a muscle or two..... Damn snap kick...... :-P

To be on the safe side better get it checked too....

New Job Experience

Working in Dell is a fun experience. Something really different. People say Dell is Hell, well it depends on what you expect from them.

Even though long working hours, they are lenient as possible. Wanna break, online, go facebook is fine as long as we are productive and get the job done. There are break rooms in every floor in strategic places. Got coffee machine, water dispenser, a sink and some tables and chairs. There is cafeteria, clinic and an underused fitness center (:-P).... The company really takes care of the employee's welfare ah....

First week was kinda awkward.... Go cafeteria have to swipe card. Go certain department have to swipe card. Going in and our of the factory have to swipe card. Luckily my department and the toilet don have to swipe... The shitty thing is I DON HAVE A CARD YET...... Need a few days to process. 1st day was fine, got the boss to come get us. The subsequent days were a bit weird... Ha ha.

There are few "techniques" i use to move around the plant:

1) Stand and wait for someone to swipe. Have to selamba-ly stand there as if SMS-ing ppl or waiting for someone. If look suspicious, idea won't work. When somebody swipes, in i go !!.

2) Tailgate. Follow behind someone that I think is going to the place i going. Selamba-ly walk in together with them as if you are with them.

3) Follow my senior closely. Did it almost everyday !!! I somehow feel bad la. Keep following like stalker nia. Ish

4) I thought of this technique but i never used it. NEVER... Unless really last resort kaw kaw... Go out through the cafeteria's public entrance, walk to any employee entrance and pray hard someone swipes. But then again entrance E has a team of security guards to sign in visitors. Can use that also but gonna have to explain... Silly idea......

Les Mills Quaterly Body Combat Workshop

1st time attended the workshop after been certified for almost a year now. My bad....

It's an awesome experience indeed !! Met up with my training mates after so long and the master class was a blast. 4 presenters: Les Mills Asia Pacific Master Trainer Judy King, our very own Malaysian Renee, Master Trainer Ben Tang from Singapore and Kelvin from Singapore as well.

The programs were running very behind schedule as i heard during Body Attack class, the trainer sorta spent too much time on the education session. Of all the education sessions they wanna cut short they choose to cut short Body Combat's session pula. Anyway, Ben Tang did a great job maximizing the somehow short education session. He quickly run through the new moves and gave some tips on how to coach it. Ben also explained what the expect track by track. All in 15 minutes or so. Blink and you gonna miss it....

Whole new move

Double handed pylometric plus (say it fast 10 times) Short form Double Handed Push.

Half a new move - Modified move la... X-D

Snap kick - Karate's front kick
Push kick- Muay Thai's front kick

Quarter a new move - Old move but long time not used

Evasive Side Kick aka E-Kick - Jumping is absolutely an option. Dan and Rach did it only once, the masterclass presenters did 4 times. Last release was 32 i think.
Clinch - Only a few times. Last release 35.
Ginga !!!! - Capoiera's fighting stance. Last release 37.

The masterclass went on with not much stopping. More like touch and go go go.... Music wise release 41 is great. Music is really pumping and motivating !! I like very much. Hell, i don really fancy the Numa Numa song (Dragostea Din Tei) until now !!! The remix of the Numa Numa song sounded really great. Maiya hii, maiya huu, maiya ha ha...... I was thought it gonna sound cheesy like the original song. Ha ha ha. The choreography is simpler than release 40. Even though there are quite a number of sets, one set have only a few moves and less reps. The hard part is in Muay Thai where there are 16 jab cross instead of the usual 8 or 12 reps. Kick kata in track 6 is a bit tricky but there are pulses in between reps. Will have plenty of time to regain composure and get back the timing compared to release 34's Shut Up and Drive where we smack it all the way....

Somehow i have a feeling SOME of the members would not like this release in my club's usual combat classes. They kinda root for the older releases ( i.e. 20 somethings) after so long. I dunno about them but for me i think we need to move on with the changes and evolution of the programs rather than sticking to what we are familiar with. Body Combat have come a long way since it started as "Another kickboxing-ish aerobic class" to an explosive mix of various styles of martial arts exercise class or some call it a mixed martial arts exercise class.

A selamba day in the hospital

Was in Penang General Hospital collecting medication for mum. Took number, had lunch, selambanya walked around the hospital then finally sat down waited for my number to be called.

If not mistaken my number was 4259. In order to speed up the process the pharmacist will press two numbers at once so that one will take the medicine while another waits behind. Pretty bad idea to me. After done with one baru press another number so the person behind won't have to wait and wonder.

Anyways back to the story. 4258 and 4259 were called. So i stood behind waiting dengan selambanya for the number in front of me to finish. Out of nowhere an old lady dengan selambanya cut right in front and sorta put down her number quite harshly on the counter. (shall i say, slam ?) Her number was 4260.

On the other hand, I dengan selambanya tapped on her shoulder. I spoke to her (in hokkien) while showing my number "I am first......" The old lady dengan selambanya took her number away and stood there said nothing.....

Selamba betul.

KFC Shrimp Stix is here !! Succulent prawns, dipped in a special batter and fried to a golden brown crispiness.... Good news to all prawn lovers !! Advertisement shows few pieces of shrimps dunked into batter, fried, cut apart to show the succulent shrimp inside.

I decided to try it. So off i go to KFC and ordered the set. Wah ! 2 pieces of KFC chicken and 2 sticks of the shrimp stix plus sides of coleslaw and mashed potatoes. That's a hefty portion ah. Somehow the smarter side of me decided to ask the cashier, "How big is the shrimp stix ah? " Cashier said "Like fish finger, like the size of your finger" She showed me one and i was like "Ooo... kay". SO, it's not big like the chicken pieces as shown la...

My reaction when she showed me the shrimp stick.

Kecil nak mampus eh. The size is so pathetically small. It was the size of my ring finger !!! Barsket betul, talking about the term "For illustration purposes only". Takpe, try also. Ordered the set. Took home to enjoy.

1st bite, "Hmm, crispy but barely tasted the shrimp"
2nd bite, "Oh, so the shrimp is not whole as advertised"
3rd bite, "WTF, can't barely taste the shrimp !!! They use udang kering iziit?"

Hey, at least udang kering can taste the shrimp texture. This? Not at all. I think the shrimp just melted in my mouth....

Well, most will know the incident. I've been reading in the news many labeled the villagers greedy as they refuse to move and not satisfied with the compensation. LOOK in another perspective, they are guarding their old tradition and the aged old lifestyle.

Does money or the new house will ensure the tradition and their old lifestyle will not die? I dunno. Only they themselves know it. Kinda pissed off with people who labeled them as greedy because they (the people who misjudge) do not see their (the villagers) perspective.

Started to know about this fella when i heard the song called Toma by him. I was hooked by the music and his unique reggaeton rapping vibe... I'm sure there are many Pitbull fans out there also when he became big with his string of hits Shake, Crazy and currently so ever popular overplayed song I Know You Want Me (Cale Oco). Damn addictive and makes you wanna jump up and go crazy !!! (So to speak.....) If you are wondering how come some of his background music sounds so familiar yes, it is familiar.... He samples parts from some old school disco and dance song into his music. Hits like Crazy samples the music called Cream by some Italian techno artist and I Know You Want Me takes directly from a song called 75, Brazil Street. Protein Supplements

Just because i don have big muscles does not mean i do not know about supplements. Well, people take protein supplements for a few reasons:

1) Muscle building
2) Mass gain
3) Muscle/Body recovery

So the super big sized protein like EAS, ON, Muscle Tech and others you see in GNC is for reason 1-3. While the smaller ones available in pharmacy, various direct selling like Amway, Herbalife etc are for reason number 3. By right we need protein everyday and Malaysian diet consists of mainly CARBS !!! So take your proteins, dammit..... Especially those who exercise or work out frequently. If don exercise frequent also must take protein la but not too much of it....

Speaking of which i went to GnC with my 2nd bro to buy some protein supplement. Before you say, "Hah? You take protein? You still small size..." please read the above... X-D. The guy there secara pro-nya meng-introduce some products to me after asking what is the purpose, my workout sessions bla bla bla. (Dat guy seriously knows his stuff !!!) He intro-ed me to a product brand name BSN.

Then i saw a familiar logo on the package cover. It's UFC wor..... Walau. Want meh. UFC stands for Ultimate Fighting Champioship, currently the world's biggest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) company and sorta the forerunner of MMA. Well, I wanna gain weight but no need until like the UFC people kua..... Not like i wanna go compete in MMA lidat... Ha ha ha. Actually UFC endorses it only la. Does not mean the results will be like them. I was trying to be funny.......

Dengan budget yang a bit tight so i ended up going for the familiar brand. Ended up getting ON (Optimum Nutrition) Whey Protein. Double Chocolate flavour summore.... Strawberry flavour sudah habis..... Can't wait to try it with milk.... Mmmm.....

Got my hair cut the other day. Now i look like a military guy.... Got it done at the usual place i went at Pragin Mall, SK Hair Systems.

Something i intended to do all along but not THAT short..... Not bad, liked how it turned out though.

Starting off he shaved the sides first before working the top part. I was thinking to myself, "Watermelon head !!! I hope he's not crazy...!!" After that he slowed trim the top part and slowly shaping it to squarish. Phew !! If it turns out watermelon i gonna kick his ass man.....

Halfway cutting i noticed the top part is quite long. So i said to him:

So busy with work nowdays. Aih.

What kind of people that find excitement in working till late at night and staring the day early in the morning? My boss !!! He say this way life is exciting. No doubt he look cherry and happy but take a look at the people around him..... Admin department : Panda eyes, don really smile much, busy all the time. Other departments : Looking tired all the time, will find time to "ular" when they go out for a rest, caught some taking a nap as they have to do thier things until 3am or so.

My boss fail to understand that different people have different personalities and styles. Can't follow yours all the while. Frankly i am struggling to keep up with this lifestyle. Resigning is in my mind right now and there are others in the company are contemplating that as well. Cause of that i missed teaching combat, missed workouts, missed friends and family time not forgetting my own personal time. I did not sign any contract or MOU i can just walk out of the company but I don think that is a good thing to do. I asked my boss how he balance he lifestyle, he told he can balance all that. Of course la, your wife and daughter is working in the company wat !!! And you bring your family to office. Is it balanced lifestyle to see your dad in office most of the time and the family time is in the office?

Sad that a legend had fallen. A lot people grew up with his music. His so called "non-fans" do find some of his songs amazing. MJ single handedly influenced the music industry by pioneering crossover musical genres in songs like Beat It, Billie Jean, Jam, Smooth Criminal and others. Not forgetting his dance choreography and his trademark moonwalk plus the crotch grabbing move. His Thriller album still is (and I think it will STILL be) the best selling record of all time.. One album sales is equivalent to at least 2-3 albums sales by other recording artistes. Rest In Peace, Michael.

Transformers 2

I won't say it's a super duper mega orgasmic good show. No doubt the fight sequences, the special effects and even the music is good but i still feel the story line a very loose. It's like Michael Bay decided to chuck in the scenes just to make the movie longer. The actions are a bit too long until I find it tiring to watch two robots fighting each other. Somehow along the way i got lost on what is happening anf guessing who is who. Is that a Autobots and Decepticons? Ah, it's just two alien robots fighting each other. Kinda dissappointed how Soundwave turned out....

Tekken Movie

Slated to be released in 2009 in conjuction with Tekken 6: Bloodline Rebellion game. But no news is heard after the announcement of the making. Might be rumour or it's just another idea that did not materialise. Ok, i shall not be hoping for the movie la. Just wait for (IF) it to happen.

Nike 6.0 ID Bag

Saving up some cash to get this custom made bag i did in Nike ID. Design looks not that fancy but at least it has my favourite colours and looks a bit Iron Man-ish. Large compartment to have both laptop and files inside. Will be useful for gym as well !!! I call the design Burning Coal (lame, huh? )

Back from 31st IDC. Went there as facilitator for the first time. Learned a lot of stuff and had lots of experiential learning (bapak said don use the f** word...) during the camp.

The thing i learned a lot is to handle a sharing session. Very new experience to me. Thanks to Jayson and Chee Onn for guiding and helping me throughout the session. I tersangkut-sangkut here and there but managed to get the group going.

Entrusted to handle one station during one workshop that are suppose test the participant's patience. Ha ha ha. Man, some of them are really pissed.....

I thought my injury curse for Incovar will end this camp but because of my lun chun-ness I burned my leg on a motorcycle exhaust pipe after the camp on the way to the KTM station. One burnt spot on my leg.... Sigh, do I have to get hurt each and every IDC ???

Some stupid crap i did while teaching Body Combat

It's been 6 months I've been teaching BC at FF Island Plaza. I recalled back some funny mistakes/crapollas i did while teaching on stage.

- I tore my pants during one of the Saturday's class and the the class is all ladies.... And it's only track 2 !!!! Note to self, wear a loose pants.

- Spoke too fast and i saw my air liur came flying out of my mouth..... (cue sound effect) Phee.......... Luckily din kena one of the members.

- Drank some water and out of stupidity i did not swallow. Was getting ready for a track and ter- spit some water out on the stage pula dah...

- Did some dramatic finishing move which apparently the track is not finished yet... "Team, strike a pose...!! * Poses while music still playing on the background* Oops....

- Shuffled the wrong side and i bang into Kelvin.... *Slaps self on the head*

- Accidentally kicked Celia and not realizing it.... When Rooney told me i was like, "Huh? Really ah? Got meh?" *Slaps self in the head again*

Alvin did a great job leading the camp even though lots of last minute thing and short of committee. Saddhu..... Sorry for all the "blessings" that he have to go through....

Committees multi-tasking for a lot of departments nevertheless no complains everyone did very willingly. I remembered it took 8 person to handle a pot of spaghetti, alamak. No kitchen experience. Ha ha ha. X-D

Inspired a few campers and also some of the committees. Happy to see him/her change for a better and more reliable person. Although still a bit emotional and hyper but it's pretty obvious the intention to control them self is there. Keep it up ! It takes time to be self-controlled.

This is a line from a song i hear repeatedly on tv commercials not knowing who is the singer or what is the song title.

Well, it works.... Some may call it ignorance while might call it not realistic. "How can you look at he bright side when when all this $%^& is happening?" quote someone.

Yes, problems do happen and thinking positively actually is a SOLUTION not there for fun.... When we concentrate on the positive side we tend to be more open to suggestions, a helping hand etc.... Make sense?

More open + More help + more suggestions = More chances to have solutions...!!!

When you so so down and negative thinking any solution or help that come you will just ignore it....!! "Cannot lah, lidat !!" or "Sure die one if do that" is the usual thing that those negative buggers say when there are offered a solution or a helping hand.... Familiar?

Life is full of challenges and I do admit thinking positive all the time is not easy. Sometimes i do say things sarcastically when i very the tulan..... The thing is when we get over the challenge, bump, roadblock, longkang or whatever term you wanna use the challenge becomes like a minor bump. (potholes?)

To those who thinks that i am bullcrapping I don care... The road is there for you, it's your choice to stay at where you are or take the journey down the road. Keep in mind, there will be challenges but it's the challenge that make you strong !! Stay there in your comfort zone while others are moving forward. Don blame them for their changes.

I was assigned to play the drums for Shower of Petals 3 when what i know about drums is like half past six. Nevertheless Bro Leonard decided to let me play alongside with Eric, Alex, Darren and Julian teaching me his parts. (he should be the one playing the drums but he can't make it for the concert).

Few practices along the way i got so pissed of myself as i was slowing the band down and the awkward silence when i make a huge blunder..... I mean huge as in the whole band have to stop playing as my drumming was way off.... :-( Somemore they have to reconfigure their part just to suit my kantoied drumming.... Wanted to pull out at first but Bro Leonard asked me to stay on.

I pushed myself hard to play. I even pinjam the drumsticks back to "shadow play" in my room.. Finally i managed to get the hang of it and eventually played two songs effortlessly although sometimes with minor hiccups here and there. Come this May 1st 2009, Shower of Petals 3, Deja Vu (the band) will be performing with me as the drummer.....

What i learned is that never chicken out (my bad) from things that you are not good of. Do your best and learn from the pressure as you go along. Like what my mum always say , "Never try, forever dunno..!!!". NOW it starts to make sense...

I'm so ever grateful to Bro Leonard, Eric, Alex, Darren and Julian (my sifu) for all the drillings and most importantly being so patient with me...

I know the album is out for a long time now but I got their album We The People at 70% off the original price...!!! Seems that the CD store trying to clear their old stocks off. I listened to it one time and i was impressed.....

It's an awesome album. By far the best hip hop album i own. Though technically their genre is hip hop but the mix a bit of rock, RnB, some pop and somehow on some tracks the guitar solos has a flamengo style with some E-bow efect thrown in. Some tracks features other musicians on piano, keys and percussions. (i somehow heard some tabla...) Awesome mix of 4 talented individuals complementing each other's style. The line consists of a rapper, a vocalist/rapper/acoustic guitarist, a guitarist/all guitar solos and a DJ. Not typical line up for a hip hop act.

Something unrelated, i had a bad brain freeze that I almost pass out !!!! Damn scary man..... Can't imagine if i really pass out.... Ter-took a big mouthful of that icy cold drink.

Hoping for the rain to continue raining heavily so that it gonna flood at my area and i don have to work the next day..... Minor floods were happening around my place and i DO hope it got bad enough to prevent traveling..

But the drains got the best out of the rain water and channeled the water to Sungai Pinang.... Lo and behold the next day everything is clear and dry......

The worrying part is MOST of my answer are "depends" and i totally kantoi in "How many fruits and veggies per meal?" part. It was like.... Very less....

Fight Quest

Fight Quest is back and would not come back again.... EVER. After airing the 3 new episodes, Thailand (Muay Thai), India (Kalaripayattu) and Hong Kong (Wing Chun) the show will cease from production. So we will be fed with endless streams of repeats. Same goes to History channel's Human Weapon.

I watch both shows and i think the producers goes, "Let's screw with Jastin and cancelled both shows at once.... He he." Actually Human Weapon stopped production long time ago right before Fight Quest came up.

Is martial arts losing it's popularity ? I read somewhere that Discovery is trying to discourage violent themed shows... Rrriiiggghhhttt....... Ratings ratings ratings.

Just the other day i get to replace Michelle's Body Combat class on Saturday. The class is full of lady members. So i'm the only guy la.

Apparently during track number 2 where we did some roundhouse kick. 1/3 to the song i heard a loud prraakk !!! Damn, i hope it's not me. Unfortunately it IS my pants !!!

I tried to act dunno but apparently after the track one of the members, Wendy said out loud, "Jastin, there's hole in your pants !" Swt...... I was like ," I know, I know" Then the others started gigling and smiling to themself. Then i did the whole class with the hole in my pants. When i am in gym i can't help checking out........ their shoes !!! When i look at people i will say to myself "Hey, nice Nike shoe", "Wow ! Dat fella has da best ASICS shoe", "Oh, it's ADIDAS bounce..." or "New Balance ! Same like mine..."

Can't help staring at their shoes for some time.

My New Kicks

Finally i got myself a pair or new shoes after my ASICS Gel started to worn off after 3 years plus of all condition use and bashings. The cushioning is worn off and one side is trying it's very hard not to open up wide like a crocodile. (crocs?) I got it patched the other day and the cobbler said the gluing won't last long... Damn right is he !

I was planning to buy new shoe later but i decided not to postpone any more. The reason is i slipped and sprained my ankle while playing badminton. The shoe stability totally koyak d. Luckily not a bad injury. I have to get a new shoe. ASICS is a great brand but i wanna try out other brands as well.

Behold my new New Balance 749.... Feels comfy as the shoe has a soft and breathable mesh that does not restrict the foot movement. (good for kicks and equivas especially in Body Combat). The N-Lock technology which is an intergrated lacing system ensures the foot stays stationary in the shoe and does not slip. (good for shuffle and badminton !!!) The Abzorb and Acteva Lite system provides more cushioning on impact move and keep the shoe light. (great for jumping and running..!!!!) I have yet to try the shoe out on sports but from what i did when i tried the shoe (walking,jump a bit and i somehow almost tried to do lunges there....) the condition feels very promising.

I was asking around on what people feel about Nike shoes. I got the good and the bad reviews. I was almost determined to get Nike shoes but my heart changed after i tried out the shoes. The lower range shoes does not have the proper cushioning and stability i need. The higher ranges does but the price also high lah..... Way beyond my budget so i settled for NB instead.

Car got broken into

My half-assed Kancil got broke into last Friday. The thing is my car was parked out in public !!! Summore can happen.... Aih. Wish i could post da pics from my phone....

Lucky enough only minimal damage. The triangular glass at passenger side got smashed and he/she/they/whatever dug out the car's CD player. It happened in public without my car alarm going off... Actually my car alarm koyak also d. :-(

How much that SOB get by selling off da player? Maybe RM50 maximum RM80. The player is kinda old and I'm pretty darn sure some damage been done while digging out the player from the slot.

So if anyone happened to see a half assed Panasonic brand car CD player at Lorong Kulit, pasar malam or somewhere it might be from my car... X-D

Got bullied in work !!!! Not physically bullied butsort of passively bullied. I've been asked to do job beyond my work scope and jobs that he can freaking do it himself !!!! Barsket, if you do it yourself if will save a lot of trouble and done more efficiently lah. Why must pass a simple task around that can be CLEARLY solved by yourself? You lazy or you trying to prove something else?????

He also keep putting people down by saying he is this he is that. As if people around him are not good enough for him and the company is standard is too low for him. Dey !! Boss did not say or even complain anything about our working ethics what makes you think you have the power to put people down? Are you the boss?

Why the heck he wanna make simple things complicated ? Argh........ Damn you damn you.... Go to hell.... Ahh... Emo emo..... Go screw yourself......

I know it takes 37 mucles to frown and only 22 muscles to smile but it only takes 3 muscles to flex your middle finger to the person........ But do it discreetly at your own risk......

Din update my blog for quite some time. So out of the bluesy bluish blue blue i decided to just write something on my blog just for fun..... Heh heh.

It's CNY !!! Gong Xi Fa Cai.... Kong Hey Fatt Choy...... Happy Niu Year to all. This year's CNY celebration is kinda low key (dunno y but the umph is not really there) but there are a few fun things:

- Reunion lunch is better this year. My cousin Mel came back from Australia after MIA for a couple years. Aunt really sat down and eat and talked cock (:-P) compared to last year where she's rushing to to settle some stuff. She practically came, ate and left !

- Two round tables for dinner ! Adel came with Nathaniel and Abigail (fat and cute....). Kinda enjoyable dinner lah.

Got some ang pows as usual. Got two special ang pow.

- One from a old lady of the same neighbourhood. A small token of appreciation of the little little things my mother and I did for her last year. She stayed alone with no close family staying with her so my mum used to help her a lot with me helping along once a while when my mum can't handle alone.

- One from my dad's close friend when they came over to visit when mum and dad was not around. I came down from my room to so called "serve" them before they left after 5 minutes. The wife did not see my brothers so she only gave me..... He he. Pai seh to tell her she din give to my brothers.

Gambled a bit. Got win got lose. Won some amount in Peng Khai's house only to lose it all in Alan's house... Ha ha ha. At first i won some round but i lose my winnings to him. I din lose much money compared to last year. I was happie.....!!!!!!
