Never Back Down

I watched this movie about mixed martial arts called Never Back Down. I did not know about this movie at all at first. I stumbled upon the DVD when i was at Batu Ferringhi checking out some pirated DVDs. The cover looks cool and the sypnosis is quite promising so i decided to give it a try.

Man, it was worth buying it. The movie features underground MMA fights. Think it as a somewhat illegal mixed martial arts fight with very minimal rule thrown in. It might give the nay-sayers of mixed martial arts something negative to say but for fans will rejoice ! There are only few MMA movie around (i dunno about Redbelt, i heard it's more to Ju-Jitsu) and this movie really stands out.

The story is about Jake, a typical hot-headed, raging hormones teenager who gets into trouble. When he moved into a new school, his reputation follows him there. Some fella i forgot his name introduces Jake to a MMA sifu named Roqua who is also troubled himself..... Jake at first declined the offer until he got his ass kicked kaw kaw in front of so many people by the popular,cocky guy, Ryan in school who happened to be proficient in MMA as well...



Bla bla bla, Jake trains hard. He punched,kicked,elbowed, kneed, wrestled and ground fight his way to put an end to.......... (watch the movie yourself........)
